Dr. Kevin J. Engel


Dr. Engel graduated from the University of Waterloo , School of Optometry in 1994, and received his license to prescribe eye medications (topical therapeutics) from the University of Houston , College of Optometry in 1995. Dr. Engel’s special clinical interests are in bifocal contact lenses, and dry eye therapy.

He grew up in Moosomin, Saskatchewan , and married his wife, Angela Power, in 1994. His personal interests include weightlifting, water skiing and flyfishing.

Dr. Engel knows that community pride runs deeper than just his practice of optometric services. He is an active member of several civic organizations to raise the level of community betterment in the Lacombe area.

Dr. Angela Power


Dr. Power graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of optometry in 1993, and received her license to prescribe eye medications (topical therapeutics) from the Oklahoma College of Optometry in 1993.

She is originally from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, and her personal interests include golfing, piano, and spending time with her three children.

Dr. Samantha Sperber


Dr. Samantha Sperber graduated from Pacific University in Oregon in 2017. She graduated a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society and attained Optometric board certification in Canada and the United States.

She grew up a fourth generation on her family farm west of Ponoka and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from MacEwan University in 2013 as the recipient of the MacEwan President’s Medal for Academic Excellence and Student Leadership. Dr. Sperber is an active volunteer both locally and globally and has travelled worldwide providing volunteer eye care for underprivileged communities.

Dr. Sperber has a special interest in pediatrics, vision and learning, and neuro-visual training and is currently completing further post-graduate studies in these areas.
